I just started a new job two weeks ago, and boy has it been tough! When I first decided to wait tables a few nights a week I didn't realize how a decade of not doing so can leave a person quite rusty, not to mention exhausted at the end of a shift. Also, it's insanely nerve wracking and humbling to not know what you're doing until you get thrown in there and are forced to sink or swim. So Music Monday is dedicated to the songs that keep me going during my shift and help me maintain perspective despite the insane learning curve. Happy Monday!

ug, i have this feeling that one day i'll go back to waiting tables on the side...but even at my most recent job i could already feel myself getting exhausted. when i was young i would work from 5-3 am at the rest/bar. it's crazy. now i'm scared because you mentioned it's possible to get rusty at it!

Despite being rusty I'm actually really loving it. Each time I work I become a bit more familiar with the restaurant, plus I can't say enough good things about getting out of the house a few nights a week and coming home with cold hard cash! Sorry if I scared you :)
