There aren't many blogs I have the wherewithal to visit on a daily basis, so apart from my own, only a handful make the daily cut, and The Jealous Curator (aka: Danielle Krysa) is at the top of the list. I'm not sure where to begin...is it her witty commentary I love so much? Her amazing eye for art and the subsequent "soul-crushing" jealousy that ensues upon seeing it? Or is it that she is a talented artist herself? The obvious answer is: All The Above; and to top it off, she is a genuinely nice person. I think I'll start a new blog called "Jealous of Jealousy" and make it all about Danielle. Here is what she has to say for herself:
"There is one moment, in the first few seconds, when you look at a piece of art and know that you love it. It’s the moment when, if you’re an artist yourself, you look at it and feel a rush of uplifting inspiration… and total soul-crushing jealousy all at the same time. It’s when you walk away thinking, “Damn, I wish I thought of that.'"
Well Danielle, you just summed up how your work makes me feel...

And if that's not crush-inducing enough, Danielle was invited to curate her very first show in Washington DC a few weeks ago. She worked with the very talented Ben Skinner and the show was titled Try a Little Tenderness as Painful as it Seems - which just goes to show that Ben's work is not only fun and eye catching, but it's incredibly though-provoking and moving. I think I'm going to have to show you with my arms how much I love his work. This. Much.
