Prompt 6: Make {via Reverb 10}
"What was the last thing you made? What materials did you use? Is there something you want to make, but you need to clear some time for it?" (Author: Gretchen Rubin)
Sarcastically, the last thing I made was for lunch yesterday - turkey on sourdough with cilantro pesto, tomatoes, and avocado (to be exact.) But more seriously, apart from making our new house into a home, I haven't made a whole lot. I did happen to make Valentine cards for my kids to take to school last Monday, and that was fun - especially considering how I nearly pass out with excitement every time I enter a paper store (all those colors and patterns send me swooning). And speaking of paper, I made something else with paper recently. While packing, I came across my beat-up childhood copy of Where the Wild Things Are, and since we have a new copy of the book I decided to make the old copy into greeting cards. I got the idea from one of the booths at Crafty Wonderland, and what makes these so fun is they don't require envelopes - just a mailing label to seal it shut.
Voila! An old book re-purposed into a greeting card. Genius
