Yesterday was Kurt Cobain's birthday. He would have been 44 this year and I can't help but wonder what we've missed out on by not having him around these past 15 years. So Music Monday goes out to the man who rocked my teen world (and still does) through his awesome music and grungy good looks.
*It was incredibly difficult to narrow it down to three songs, so I had to just close my eyes and point...
Come As You Are by Nirvana
All Apologies by Nirvana
Dumb by Nirvana
Happy Monday! I'm off to dig up my old chartruse grandpa cardigan and a pack of cigs, then finish listening to Unplugged...
Jess...I remember hearing when he died...I was so ANGRY! And it still hurts today...what a great talent we lost that day...I still get a bit upset with him for doing that to us...but I still love, love, LOVE the music to this day...at that time when they came upon the scene...music was at an all time LOW and the second I heard the first beat of their music...it was like...YES! Thank you LORD! FINALLY - grunge was great and still is...Nirvana will live on in our hearts forever!

I completely feel your pain and anger! Next time you're in town let's pay tribute together...there's no band yet to beat out Nirvana for the number one place in my heart :)
